Published August 27, 2007 at midnight

Littleton police said today they are looking for a man who tried to lure a 10-year-old boy into his car as the youngster walked home Friday afternoon.

Police said a man driving a black Toyota Camry pulled up next to the boy twice, asking him, "Please get into my car."

The boy, a student at Damon Runyon Elementary, was walking home and was near West Ridge Road and South Elati Street at the time. The boy was scared and walked away, police said. The boy ran the second time the man approached him.

The man in the vehicle was last seen driving northbound on South Delaware Street.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, dark-skinned, black hair, between 35 and 40-years-old. He spoke with a Spanish accent and was wearing a white shirt with blue and yellow stripes and a black cowboy hat.

His car is an older model black four-door with a brown interior and papers scattered inside.

Anyone with information about the driver or the car is asked to call the Littleton Police Department, Investigations Division, at 303-795-3890.
