THE SHOW WILL GO ON
When The Country Dinner Playhouse shut down without warning in May, it stunned employees and the community.
Many of the performers were scheduled to sing during the Summer Concert Series at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch.
They decided to keep the date, even though the Playhouse no longer exists.
Former music director Mich Samu said the performance gives the group another chance to be together and gives patrons who supported the theater for 38 years a chance to say thanks and goodbye.

Denver's barbers reject price hike
Members of Barbers Union Local 205 have rejected a proposal to raise the price of haircuts to $1.75. The proposal was to increase the price of men's haircuts from $1.50 to $1.75. Haircuts for children under 12 would have been raised from $1.25 to $1.35. Kids getting their hair cut on Saturdays or days before a holiday would be charged $1.50. In May the union members rejected a similar proposal linked to a health and welfare insurance plan they did not like.
