The Broncos filled their available roster spot Wednesday morning, signing veteran defensive linemen John Browning. Browning played 10 years for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Browning did not play in '06 after he was released by the Chiefs last September after reaching an injury settlement with the team. Browning could likely play some at left defensive end — or power end — but played mostly as a tackle in his time in Kansas City.

He has started 96 games in his career.
