Penthouse at downtown Four Seasons goes for $10 million
Published August 20, 2007 at midnight
An unidentified buyer paid $10 million for one of the two penthouse suites in the Four Seasons Private Residences Denver, marking the most expensive price ever for a condo in the Denver area.
The two-level penthouse, the most expensive one in the planned development, has 6,100 square feet, four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a loft and two balconies. The balconies have almost 750 square feet.
So far, a third of the units in the 45-story building to be constructed at 14th and Arapahoe streets have sold.
Buyers have ranged from business leaders to professional athletes, the company said.
The majority of the buyers are Colorado residents, with two-thirds living in metro Denver.
Other Private Residences purchasers live in Colorado mountain communities as well as in Phoenix, Chicago, California and Mexico. More than three-fourths of Four Seasons Private Residence Denver homeowners are 40 to 60 years of age.
"We are extremely pleased with the rapid pace of sales and the enthusiasm from our buyers before we have even broken ground," Jeff Selby, co-developer of Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Denver, said in a statement.
The development will have 230 hotel rooms and 102 condos. The smallest unit has 964 square feet.
