Loveland crash kills Minnesota motorcyclist

A Minnesota woman died last night after her motorcycle was hit by a car in Loveland.

Laurie Jean Lotton, 51, of Mankato, was pronounced dead at McKee Medical Center, Loveland police reported today in a press release.

Police said a 1990 Buick sedan was turning left from West Eisenhower Boulevard onto North Taft Avenue when it hit Lotton's westbound 2001 Harley Davidson about 8:45 p.m.

The driver of the Buick, 33-year-old Tara Robinson of Loveland, was not injured. Two passengers in her car, ages 10 and 11, were treated at the scene by emergency personnel, police said.

The accident remains under investigation.
