Published August 17, 2007 at midnight
The inspector killed in last night's cave-in, a member of the Mine Safety and Health Administration rescue team, was supervised by the agency's regional office in Lakewood.
Gary Jensen, 53, was based in Price, Utah, and lived in Redmond, Utah.
Jensen had worked at MSHA since 2001 and was recently assigned to special investigations, agency spokeswoman Amy Louviere said.
The two other rescuers who died were identified as miners Brandon Kimber and Dale R. Black.
Kimber is a father of three from Price.
Black, 48, lived in Monticello, Utah. He grew up two doors down from Huntington Mayor Hilary Gordon, who visited Black's mother today and recalled that he was "just full of life."
The Salt Lake Tribune and Associated Press contributed to this
report.
