No sign of drug sales

Published August 17, 2007 at midnight

BOULDER - Officers who dismantled a suspected Ecstasy lab in south Boulder this week said there's no indication the two suspects had sold any of the drugs before the raid.

Detectives began investigating drug activity in a home bordering Summit Middle School after receiving a tip, said Lt. Steve Prentup, of the Boulder County Drug Task Force.

He said the residents may not have sold Ecstasy before the Tuesday bust.

Despite officers' finding enough chemicals in the house to produce up to 80,000 doses, Prentup said it "would be real optimistic" to say they have found Boulder's primary source of the club drug.
