18 seasons of 25 home runs or more for Barry Bonds, who hit No. 25 on Wednesday off Tim Hudson of Atlanta. Bonds is tied with Henry Aaron for the most seasons in a career with 25 home runs. Reggie Jackson, Frank Robinson and Babe Ruth are tied for third with 15 seasons of 25 or more.

YANKEES IN HUNT

The Yankees moved back into postseason contention by winning 25 of their first 35 games after the All-Star break, but the next two weeks will be a better gauge of where they stand. Only nine of the 35 games were against teams with winning records - six against Toronto and three against Cleveland. The Yankees opened a series Thursday against Detroit, after which they'll play the Angels, the Tigers again and Boston.
