The new transmitter increases KRMA-DT's reach from 10 percent to 15 percent of the KRMA-TV (analog channel 6) viewing area to 95 percent of the area. Rocky Mountain PBS now meets FCC requirements to provide appropriate digital coverage by February 2009, when the government will discontinue analog coverage nationwide.
