Recipe: Cheese Frenchees

Serves 2 to 3

6 slices Wonder Bread

6 slices American cheese

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 egg

1/2 cup milk

3/4 cup flour

1 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup Kellogg's Corn Flake crumbs

Oil for deep-frying

Make 3 sandwiches, using 2 slices of cheese per sandwich.

Spread mayonnaise on bread slices.

Cut sandwiches into triangles.

Combine egg, milk, flour and salt.

Dip the triangle sandwiches into egg mixture, and coat with corn flakes crumbs.

Fry in oil at 375 degrees until golden.

Wonder Trail Mix Sandwich

Serves 2

4 slices Wonder bread, toasted

6 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter

2 ripe bananas, sliced

2 tablespoons raisins

2 teaspoons chopped cashews

2 teaspoons honey

Spread one side of 2 pieces of toast with peanut butter.

Place the banana slices on top of the other 2 slices of toast.

Top the banana with raisins and cashews, then drizzle with honey.

Top with the second slices of toast, peanut-butter side down.

One-Eyed Jack

Serves 1

1 piece sliced Wonder Bread

1 egg

Butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Heat a skillet to medium/medium high on stove. Grease with butter (or spray with cooking spray).

Take a glass that is a couple of inches smaller in diameter than the bread, and use like a cookie-cutter to cut out a hole in the bread. (Eat the middle of the hole.)

Butter the rest of the piece of bread, both sides. Put bread in skillet, crack egg carefully into the hole.

Cook until egg is to desired doneness, flipping halfway.

Salt and pepper to taste. Add a slice of fried Spam or bologna on top if desired.
