3 hospitalized in Lakewood house fire

Three Lakewood residents were being treated for smoke inhalation today after an early morning blaze at their home.

Michelle French, a spokeswoman for the West Metro Fire Rescue, said the three were transported by ambulance to Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge.

The fire in the 400 block of Lamar Street was reported at 7:05. When firefighters arrived, they found smoke.

It took approximately 15 minutes to extinguish the fire, French said.

The conditions of the three residents were not available.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
