2 hurt, 3 arrested in 9th/Lincoln shooting

Three suspects in the shooting of a man and woman near downtown Denver were arrested soon after the incident early this morning, police said.
Denver police said the incident started about 2:20 a.m. as an attempted purse snatching in front of a drug store at Ninth Avenue and Lincoln Street.
The woman fought back and was shot in the leg in a parking lot near the intersection.
The man who was shot was reportedly in surgery this morning. His condition was not available.
The three suspects were later taken into custody while riding in a car matching the description of a vehicle seen leaving the scene of the shooting, police said.
