Telecommunications conference in town

Published August 7, 2007 at midnight

About 1,400 people, including representatives from Qwest Communications and Level 3 Communications, are attending a U.S. government-sponsored telecommunications conference this week in Denver.

The General Services Administration's four-day 2007 Network Services conference will focus on the latest telecommunications technologies and such programs as the multibillion-dollar Networx program.

Qwest and Level 3 both have won the right to bid on various aspects of the Networx program, which is designed to bring the latest technologies to government agencies.

The conference includes technology exhibits.
