Per capita personal income in the Denver-Aurora region last year accelerated at slower pace than the national average.

The area saw growth of 4.6 percent, compared with 5.3 percent for the entire nation, according to a report released Tuesday by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

But Denver and Aurora still ranked No. 16 in the nation on a list of metro regions with per capita personal income of $44,299.

Boulder's per capita personal income rose 5.4 percent to $48,324, while Colorado Springs had a weak 2.7 percent increase to $34,462, the report showed.
