Isotopes top Sky Sox in Albuquerque
John Gall's two-run single in the seventh inning helped lift the Albuquerque Isotopes to a 6-4 home win against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Sunday night in a Pacific Coast League game.
Joe Koshansky drove in two runs for the Sky Sox.
FOUST IS FIRST Steamboat Springs resident Tanner Foust and partner Chrissie Beavis, of San Diego, won the Rally Car Racing Super Special event Sunday at the X Games in Carson, Calif.
Denver resident Jay Eggle- ston finished seventh Saturday in the BMX Freestyle Vert event.
EIGHTH IS ENOUGH Former Adams State runner Zoila Gomez finished eighth Sunday in the women's portion of the New York City Half Marathon, timing at 1 hour, 13 minutes, 49 seconds. Kenyan runner Hilda Kibet won in 1:10:32.
SHELTON FIRST Fort Morgan driver Brad Shelton won the Modifieds feature race Saturday at I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan, and Brian Beard (Greeley, Mini-Stocks), Jacob Muehlbauer (Buffalo Creek, Dwarfs), Tra- vis Bayne (Windsor, Mod- Lites), James Krehmeyer (Wray, Econo-Modifieds), Mike Smith (Fort Morgan, Street Stocks) and Loren Walker (Fort Morgan, Econos) also won races.
HORAN WINS STREET ET Littleton resident Mike Horan won the Street ET race Saturday at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, and Richard Rudd Jr. (Northglenn, Street Bike), Tobi Connell (Arvada, Compact) and Lindsey Cramsey (Morrison, High School) also won races.
RUSH JOB Chatfield High School athlete Zach Foxhoven (43rd minute) and Mullen High School athlete Nick Brant (79th minute) each scored goals to lead the Littleton-based Colorado Rush under-17 boys soccer team to a 2-0 win Saturday against the Duluth, Ga.-based Atlanta Fire United at the Red Bull National League tournament in Orange, Calif.
FUTURES EFFORT Parker resident Laura Korus totaled a three- round score of 225 to tie for 59th in the Duramed Futures Tour's USI Championship golf tournament in Concord, N.H.
Littleton resident Trisha Self didn't make the cut after posting a two-round total of 157.
BOSHOVEN THE MEDALIST Castle Rock resident Ryan Boshoven carded 73 to take medalist honors Thursday in the Colorado Golf Association Stroke Play Championship qualifier at Antler Creek Golf Course in Peyton.
