Police think man was murder victim

Published August 6, 2007 at midnight

Police think a man who staggered bleeding into a Country Buffet restaurant in Aurora over the weekend asking for help was murdered.

The man was shot in the upper torso in the parking lot of the restaurant at 1026 S. Sable Blvd. about 8 p.m., police believe.

The victim, whom police did not identify pending notification of family, was transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he died later Saturday night.

Authorities are looking for a white compact vehicle that witnesses said hurriedly left the area of the restaurant.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Craig Appel at 303-739-6207.
