Broncos going nowhere fast
Listening to all the so-called radio sports-talk "experts" on the upcoming Broncos season, they are all in a lathered frenzy. "The Broncos are going to the Super Bowl this year."
It goes on and on. The Broncos won't win a playoff game again this year. Realistically, it could be three, four years before they win a playoff game.
Who are they going to beat? San Diego? New England? The Colts? Expecting a quarterback starting his first full season is asking too much.
Plus, (Jay) Cutler has a bad habit of holding onto the ball too long until someone rings his bell. That could add up to a short season and possibly a short NFL career.
(Coach Mike) Shanahan should have gone after (Jeff) Garcia to start for a year or two until Cutler develops. Another blunder by the coach.
Shanahan desperately wants to win a Super Bowl without John Elway being mentioned, but it won't happen, not in Denver.
Sorry, Broncos fans, this will be another disappointing season.
Gary Duncan, Loveland
