NUMBERS GAME

30 come-from-behind victories for the Rockies, tops in the National League and three behind Seattle, which leads the majors. The Rockies have come from behind after the seventh inning on the road only twice, and Armando Benitez has been the losing pitcher both times - Thursday in Florida and May 25 at San Francisco.

ON HOLD

Right-handed pitcher Greg Reynolds' situation will be discussed Monday with a decision likely to be made on the next step in treating his sore right shoulder. Reynolds, the Rockies' No. 1 draft pick a year ago, was 4-1 with a 1.42 ERA at Double-A Tulsa this year, but he has made only eight starts, none since June 19 and only one since May 15.

Rockies trainer Keith Dugger and rehabilitation coordinator Scott Murayama, who has been overseeing Reynolds' rehabilitation in Denver, will see how Reynolds responds to a throwing session. Surgery remains a possibility, but minor league director Marc Gustafson said that is a last resort.

HE SAID IT

"I talk to him whenever I can. I will track him down at the winter meetings (in the early morning) and sit and have coffee with him and Ned Yost and Freddy Gonzalez. He has so much to offer."

Clint Hurdle, Rockies manager, on his respect for Atlanta manager Bobby Cox.
