Colorado was No. 3 in the nation in July for pre-closure filings, ForeclosureS.com said Friday.

Colorado had 24,045 homes in the foreclosure process in July, which equates to 1.49 percent of the homes, on a per-capita basis, according to the company.

Nevada was No. 1 with 19,044 foreclosure filings, or 2.55 percent, and Florida was second in the nation, with 111,236, or 1.76 percent, according to the company that has been gathering foreclosure data for the past 20 years.
